Trying to rebuild my life.

I tried this on my own, but my nephew told me "You help a lot of people. Why don't you try GoFundMe." Then I remembered people always telling me, "Why didn't you say something?" So, this is me saying something and praying for the best.

I was recently evicted from my home. I did everything I could to save it. I exhausted every resource, every fund, and every channel available to a single, male, veteran without children or a diagnosed mental illness or physical disability. It was a steady decline over a long period of time. From losing work to fighting a losing battle to save my car. Things just went from bad to worse. I don't drink or go out, I just stay home and look for ways to make things happen. I've tried odd jobs like working on cars, landscaping, gardening, carpentry but not having a vehicle makes things that much more difficult. I had a home invasion, my sewar line backed up and I walked around in sewage for a month. I also exhausted my time and energy helping people who couldn’t do the same. Inevitably I lost the battle to the pile of complications that had piled up.

I want a home. A place I can shower, shave, get ready for work, and be the best I can be every day. But rent isn’t cheap and raising enough for first, last, and/or deposit is going to take me a long time without resources. My business is still going but the profit is mostly spent on renting vehicles and hiring help. I’m aware that asking for help welcomes rumors, gossip, and assumptions and there’s nothing I can do to quelch those narratives. I just hope your personal experience with me will be enough to tell you what kind of person I am and help you decide if you want to help me. I can't say I’m a good person, only God is good. But I try every day. I protect those who can't or won't protect themselves, I give what I can, when I can, and I believe in forgiving people 70 times 7 times. I don’t like hurting others and don’t do revenge. Mostly, I believe God is good. Always.
