Bring Flash home!

Meet Flash- a 5-6 week old puppy, currently being cared for by Bali Dali vets, awaiting a safe house. If could take some time to read this little fighter’s heart-wrenching story, it would be highly appreciated.

It was just another day in Bali and we were driving through the island after having one of those days where everything seems to go wrong. And then we knew it happened for a reason. All of a sudden, a tiny puppy, 5-6 weeks old, walked out of the jungle and plonked himself down on the road waiting to get hit by our car. He was exhausted, dehydrated and had an ear infection so bad that not only was his ear hanging off, but maggots were eating away at his flesh. He had no mother or siblings in site; he was all alone, terrified and ready to die.

The good news is that we managed to save him, for now. We rushed him to a local animal shelter and paid for all of his treatment and reconstruction of his ear. We are currently waiting for him to get a bit older, so that we can also pay for his vaccinations. But what we really want to do is get this baby into the loving and caring home that he deserves.

It is a miracle he is still alive and the last thing we want is for this baby to end back up on the streets when he’s come so far. So we have set up this page to kindly ask for as little or large donations, to help us get Marley-Harley-Flash-Vince home (name still undecided). We have a Facebook page set up where we have posted a video of his story (video below also) as well as our daily pupdates so that you can follow his progress and we even already have a future owner desperately waiting to meet him back in the UK, so that she can give him that second chance at life he deserves: Link to our FB page

We understand that, as much as it pains us, we will never be able to save every street dog or cat in the world from pain and suffering. But if we can make the difference to just one dog and if we can just show just one dog what giving and receiving unconditional love is, then that is enough for us to fight.

The £5000 we are trying to raise is for ensuring Flash is cared for until he is old enough and healthy enough to be flown back to the UK, as well as paperwork, flights, certificates and more. Full breakdown can be provided by SJ upon request.

Any extra donations will be given to the BAWA animal shelter, so that they can continue with the amazing work they do.
