Help 360 Eats continue to put an end to hunger and food waste.
360 Eats is a 501(c)(3) charity based in the Tampa Bay Area whose mission is to create a just and sustainable food system free from hunger and food waste. We use an innovative mobile system to rescue good food that would otherwise go to waste and turn that food into free, healthy, and gourmet meals for the community and compost to grow more food.
Our mobility is essential for us to continue to rescue food and feed the food insecure in our community and without it, we simply cannot continue.
The van, the personal property of one of our employees, was rear-ended by another driver who was found to be at fault on February 24th. After the accident, an insurance claim was made and an inspection was done, which unfortunately revealed enough damage for the insurance company to consider it a total loss. To make matters worse, the settlement that was issued by the insurance company was only enough to cover the outstanding amount on the van's loan, leaving our employee with little funds to put towards a new vehicle. This, of course, is also bad news for 360 Eats as it seriously hinders our ability to pick up food donations and serve meals to those in need in our community.
Throughout the past 7 months, the van, along with the efforts of our volunteers, rescued 17,500 lbs of good food from going to waste, distributed 6,768 meals to those in need, created thousands of pounds of compost from our food scraps, and donated thousands of pounds of grocery items to local shelters. It’s incredible what a single piece of machinery can accomplish!

Although we've put in a solid effort the past few weeks using our personal vehicles to collect and distribute food, it is not sustainable. In order for us to continue to serve our community, we need a new van. A reliable vehicle that will continue to help us create a just and sustainable food system free from hunger and food waste.
We are asking the community to help 360 Eats get back on the road and continue to put an end to food insecurity and food waste. Whether it be $5 or $5,000, every donation is GREATLY appreciated.
We thank you all from the bottom of our heart for your support and look forward to operating at full capacity again soon!

For any offline donations please send to 360 Eats, Inc. at 3100 Teal Terrace, Safety Harbor FL, 34695 and please indicate it is for this campaign.

Here is the funding breakdown:
* Cost of vehicle is based on current Carfax, Edmunds, and Kelley Blue Book listings in our area for used low mileage high roof cargo vans. Each website is quoting a price range of around $30,000. With a high roof cargo van, we would have the ability to store a lot more food and meals and therefore increase the amount of food we rescue and individuals we feed.
* Additional ~$5,000 will go towards taxes, registration, insurance, and other related fees.
