Stand with Rachelle in her Custody Battle

This is really hard for me to ask, but it’s also extremely important to me. It’s ALL that matters. Nathanael’s dad has reopened our parenting plan (after being divorced for 3 years!) to fight me for more custody. It has more to do with hurting me (and probably asking for a reduction in child support) than anything else, but he will do whatever it takes to “win”—and he has far more resources at his disposal than I do.

Since he had me served at my new job in September, I’ve spent over $25,000. I have taken loans, put bills on credit cards, borrowed from family & friends, sold my jewelry, and taken a massive hit to my credit score. My lawyer now wants a $30k deposit to prepare for the trial. There is a Guardian ad Litem involved and it feels like Victor can and wants to keep this going just because he can, financially.

I am all for Nathanael having a healthy relationship with his father—but the dynamic has been toxic and alienating and all of this could and should have been resolved over a cup of coffee, like adults--I am devastated that he is willing to pay 100s of thousands of dollars to let strangers decide what is best for our son. And I absolutely hate that he’s putting Nathanael through this *again*.

It pains me to ask for this kind of help. I was doing just fine…But there is no ONE person that I can turn to for this kind of help. I am maxed out with loans and credit cards. And I’m running out of time. If I don’t pay the 30k by 5/10/24, my lawyer will withdraw and I honestly don’t know what I will do
