Hey guys, it's Kristen here :)  Thanks in advance for taking a minute to check out what we have going on here!! <3<3<3  This is sort of a melty heart, misty eye, touching story.  I am setting up a gofundme page for a beautiful aweseome lady named Erin Jess (some of you already know her, so no explanatio neccessary - you know she's an angel, some of you don't - so I'll try to paint the picture)  You being here shows already that you care and are interested so please read to the end and follow through.  This means a lot to me.

I met Erin Jess 7 years ago through work.  She helped a sweet disabled lady get out of a group home and into her own supported house .  This began a huge adventure of us being caretakers for our sweet lady and her twin and the other disabled people in our lives.  In these years, Erin Jess has been a continuous role model and has become a very dear friend.  Erin Jess had a sister with disabilities and has a special place in her heart for all people disabled and all people who are forlorn and need extra help.  She is a natural giver and has a huge heart .  She is always there for everyone with bells on.  Her smile and personality are infectious, positive, and kind.

In her life she has faced some big challenges.  She sadly had to watch her sister get sick from a brain tumor and it's complications.  Erin Jess' sister, Leah (affectionaltely called the Bear) passed away when Erin Jess was in her early 20s.  Now at the begining of her 30s the huge loss ofa baby, sweet angel Baylie.  Baylie's surving twin Grace has been a source of a lot of hope and strength for Jess, but there have also been constant trips to Standford for medical visits to check on her shunt for fluid on the brain after a brain surgery that she had as a younger baby (She is 2 now, but I still think of her as a baby).   In the midst of greiving a lost child and the financial burden of medical bills for sweet Gracie, another huge challenge for the family; Erin Jess' brother was killed in a tractor accident.  Erin Jess' grief became compounded by having two of the biggest losses a person can suffer at the same time.  The loss of her brother also brought up some emotional feelings because he was the same age that her sister, the Bear, had been when she passed away.  An age that Erin Jess is coming up on in the next year.  So when she thought she started feeling lumps in her breasts, she thought she must be imagaining it.  She is young and she is a nursing mother, she thought it must be her grief convicing her she was going to be in the same baot as her sister and brother.  But when she went in to get a mammogram and then a biopsy, her fears were confirmed, stage 2 breast cancer :(:(:(   All of us that know Erin Jess, all of her doctor's, random people that know her at the store, etc, all have the same reaction, that it just isn't fair!

Any one of the things that she and her family have been through can be crippling so it is tragic that she has been dealt all of them.  This could be it's own show on the lifetime channel, it could be a book or a movie.  But it's not, it is the life of one of the sweetest most thoughful people that there are.

Cancer costs money.

We all have some little bits (or hopefully bigger bits) of money.  We buy frivolous meals out or coffees or comic books, whatever it may be.  AND I think most of us want to be helpful and do good.  We think about voluteering at a soup kitchen or donating clothes to the goodwill.  THIS is a chance to do good.   I understand too, that people have to pick and choose, there are kickstarters for bands, funding missions trips, the butte fires just happened and maybe you already donated to some people there. That is GREAT.  I encourage helping people whenever possible.  My hope is that when people get to this page and they read this story, they will connecct with it, empathize with it, and not pass it by.  If you have already been helpful to other people and other pages, maybe wait until your next paycheck and put a donation in then.  Maybe flash forward to the hollidays when you were going to buy like 50 pumpkin spice lattees or buy an extra Christmas present for a kind of friend/co-worker that you are just getting to know but don't know that well but want to be polite.  Think about Erin Jess and maybe you can budget to add that in as well :) <3 :)  The costs of funding cancer treatments and healing the body will be there for the next several years so anytime that you can make it work for you is going to be SO appreciated and SO helpful.  I really don't know what to expect, I have never made one of these before so I am setting the goal low to start (I obviously hope we make a lot more).    Or else we are going to have to join a singing contest, or set up a town carnival like you see in the movies....or find a pirate ship full of gold and jewels like in the Goonies.  But I hope you guys can help us before it gets to that, I get pretty sea sick ;)
