Good day, supporters,

Today’s update comes with even more frustration and heartbreak as my child continues to face neglectful and abusive circumstances that are impacting their safety, well-being, and our relationship.

Recently, I learned that my child has been grounded from "being allowed to talk to me," their own parent. This punishment, justified by claims that they haven’t completed their schoolwork and homework, seems grossly disproportionate and harmful, especially considering the context. My child is navigating persistent bullying and harassment at school—a struggle that would challenge any child’s ability to focus academically.

When I was young, I too experienced the pain and distraction of being bullied, and it negatively affected my grades. However, my parents never weaponized that situation by isolating me from my support system. It is appalling that my child is being further punished by being denied the right to communicate with me—a crucial source of comfort and stability in their life.

This isn’t the only troubling incident. As I’ve shared before, my child was punched in the face by two boys at their school. To add insult to injury, my child was suspended alongside their aggressors—an egregious example of the school’s inability to appropriately address bullying.

On top of this, I’ve now learned that my child was recently allowed to handle a sharp knife unsupervised, leading to a severe injury. They cut their finger so deeply that they required a visit to the ER, as the bleeding couldn’t be stopped with bandages or rags. This is not the first instance of such negligence. When my child was only one year old, a similar lack of oversight resulted in another alarming situation.

These ongoing events point to a pattern of disregard for my child’s safety and emotional well-being. They are navigating an environment that not only fails to protect them, but actively works against their ability to thrive. As a parent, it is devastating to witness my child endure this, especially when my attempts to advocate for them are met with resistance, blame, and stonewalling from those who should be safeguarding them.

I am more determined than ever to fight for my child’s right to a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment—both at school and in their personal life. Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve made significant strides, and I’m grateful to share that all critical documents have been reviewed and filed by our legal team. We’ve also covered the necessary service of these documents, which brings us one step closer to the desired outcome.

However, as we approach future hearings and the trial, we still face ongoing legal fees, including travel expenses and ensuring representation during crucial court dates. To maintain the progress we’ve worked so hard to achieve, I’m humbly reaching out for continued financial support.
