Hi,
I am Oscar's Dad and I am asking for some help raising money to help Oscar's angel Aunties get set up to care for him as he grows up.
First a little bit about Oscar:
- Oscar was effected by Congenital CMV before he was born. So, through no fault of anyone’s and at very long odds, he has ended up with a range of conditions that impact is abilities and life.
- The easiest way to describe his challenges is comprehensive Cerebral Palsy. Oscar (or Ocky as I call him) needs minute to minute care all day long. Recent bouts of seizures have meant the Ocky is no longer able to eat and is being fed by a line into his little tummy.
- With the complexity of Ocky's needs and the normal rigours of raising our other two sons (Archie and Freddie) my wife and I made the difficult choice to seek out care alternatives for Oscar.
- After all of the misfortune associated with the situation we finally struck gold when we met Oscar's Angel Aunties.
- These Aunties have signed up to provide a long term foster home for Oscar and be his every day (and every minute) carers. They do such an amazing job of, first and foremost providing love, and also all of the care in the world.
- As the Aunties look forward to Oscars future their home will not be suitable - they will need a hoist, special bath and a range of other things that will take up a lot of room.
- Oh, you should also know that the Aunties also have another special little girl living with them who needs and deserves her own space.
- I'm not kidding when I say angels.
So, the ask:
- long story short. They need a new house.
- I am asking for you all to contribute some $ to this more than amazing and worthy cause to help us get them some sorely needed and richly deserved space.
- Every dollar counts. Every dollar is important. Dig.
