Hi, My Name is Keonie, I’m a mother to 2 little children and wife to Kody. We are from rural QLD.

I'm starting this gofundme page to raise funds for our family, so we can spend precious time, making memories with our daughter Charliegh-May.

Our beautiful Charliegh-May is 5 months old. She was diagnosed with a complex heart condition at my 22-week scan. At this scan we were told that there was a chance that she wouldn't survive the pregnancy. From this point on, the pregnancy was a very difficult journey for us and I was in and out of hospital for the slightest thing, as we were so scared we had lost her.

When I was in labour we were informed that there was a chance that Charleigh-May wouldn't survive birth. We had decided not to have the monitors on so we could focus on her birth. Thankfully our daughter survived labour, we were so happy we forgot about everything for those split seconds.

After the night in hospital we were transferred to Hummingbird House children's hospice in Brisbane. We spent the first month of Charliegh-May's life at Hummingbird House where we received support and Charliegh-May was closely monitored. Charliegh-May surprised everyone and after 4 weeks we decided to take our baby girl home with support of our medical teams.

We spent 4 precious yet uncertain months at home with Charliegh- May, until her condition started to deteriorate. At this time, we contacted Hummingbird House and her cardiology team in Brisbane and asked for Charliegh-May to be reviewed.

On the 1st of November we got heartbreaking news that our baby girls heart ducts were closing and there were no other treatment options available for her.

Since then we have spent the last 3 weeks at Hummingbird House children's hospice where Charliegh-May has been receiving comfort care. It’s a heartbreaking time watching our baby girl deteriorate, knowing our time with her is short and knowing it will come a time when we have to say goodbye.

We are reaching out to ask if you are able to assist our family, to raise money so we can continue to pay our rent, essential bills and funeral costs when that time comes.
