Message from Sharon’s sister, Karen Barefoot:

I am writing to ask for your continued love, prayers and thoughts for my amazing twin sister and best friend, Sharon Barefoot. It’s been a tough week but she is trying so hard. As you know, Sharon broke her leg pretty bad on July 17, 2023, and had to have surgery right away at Riverside hospital where Doctor Anderson was amazing. She then stayed in the hospital for 6 days and it was not easy for her.  I stayed with her through it all and never left her side.  

We finally got her home July 22 and she still was in pain but determined as ever.  Her son Gabe, an amazing 13 years old, helps his Mom where possible. Sharon’s second surgery is scheduled for August 3. She is building strength to be ready to again overcome the challenges.  She cannot bend her leg or apply weight on it for 3 months. Sharon will be out of work but monthly bills will continue. I told her to not worry about anything; rather rely on her village, a Team to assist with food, bills but most importantly prayers and thoughts and positive vibes.

Sharon loves her job and her clients mean everything to her. Some of you have asked what can you do, at this time your love and support is what she needs the most! Her yoga has helped her mentally fight through it and her family/friends have been her motivation to improve every second. While I can’t be with her in person during next three months; I will be her coach every day!

Thank you so much for your concern and I will keep y’all updated along this journey. (By the way, she would never want me to ask anyone for anything for her.)
