Mobile Mission: Fuelling Hope with Every Dollar

As many of our followers know, our no-kill cat shelter that relies solely on donation, have been struggling with transporting our felines to our Barrie Vet clinic, which we do twice a week. We are now down to a small car to transport our felines and sadly that means that there will be fewer cats getting spayed/neutered each week. This year we have had to greatly increase the number of spay/neuters due to the increasing number of intakes of unfixed adults and huge spike of kittens that have come into our care from our community. The vehicle is also used to pick up large quantities of supplies for the many cats in care at our shelter which of course is now going to be quite difficult in a small car. Currently, we do not have assistance from any local vet and after reaching out to every local major dealership in Orillia, we have been unsuccessful in obtaining a partnership for support towards the purchase of a much needed cargo van. In the letter that was personally delivered to each dealership owner or manager, we indicated that we would even be willing to dually promote their business not only through media, but by putting their company decal on the van, which would get huge exposure. Sadly, we haven't heard even a polite decline from anyone.

We have two amazing and enthusiastic feline lovers who are willing to MATCH any donation up to $10,000 so that we can continue providing dedicated medical support and basic necessities for all the cats that in to our care at The Comfie Cat Shelter.
