Emergency Appeal: Help My Family in Gaza Survive
The situation in Gaza is apocalyptic. My family is facing unimaginable horror and death, with no safe haven in sight. Since October, they have been under constant attack, with daily bombing and killing. They have been forced to flee their homes multiple times, seeking safety in different parts of the city.
Since we launched this GoFundMe campaign, the situation has only worsened. My family has been forced to separate and scatter across different areas, desperately seeking safety. At least 40 members are now sleeping under the open sky, exposed to the elements. We urgently need funds for:
- Tents and bedding for shelter
- Food and water to sustain them
- Medical care for the injured and vulnerable
- Any other urgent needs that arise
The current heat wave is exacerbating their suffering, and children are struggling to survive under the scorching sun. Your support is their only hope. Every moment counts, and your donation can mean the difference between life and death.
Please consider donating and sharing this update with your network. Let's come together to bring hope and relief to my family in Gaza. No amount is too small, and every gesture counts. Let's show my family that they are not alone in this unimaginable crisis.
Thank you for your compassion and support.
I am a Palestinian trying to raise funds for my family in Gaza. My stepdad Ayman and his entire family were displaced in 1948 and forced into Gaza during the Nakba. And now, they are experiencing yet another catastrophe.
Currently, my stepdad's aunt is housing a minimum of 40 people — including her children, grandchildren, and cousins who have all lost their houses at the hands of Israel's relentless bombings. This isn’t the first time they’ve lost their homes due to this oppressive regime. Along with the loss of their homes, many of my stepdad’s relatives have lost family: his cousin has lost her daughter, son in law, and husband. Another cousin, which he would refer to as uncle, lost his daughter, his son law, and his 6 month-old grandchild. 4 of his first cousins lost their homes and are all injured; one of which is a 1 year-old, and one that now has 2 broken legs.
Currently, 90% of his immediate family have lost their homes and everything inside them. 40+ members of Aymans family are in one home because there is nowhere else for them to go. I am keeping their names private because they fear that the IDF will target them. They are all seeking shelter at houses that have not yet collapsed, but don’t have any windows.
The money raised here will be used to give them heavy plastic in order to cover the windows, because adding more glass puts a risk of danger. Winter is coming and they need to cover up the windows as soon as possible. We are also funding in order to give them a water-well motor, and a generator. Israel has cut off water, gas, and electricity in Gaza so water and electricity are scarce to none. The rest of the funds will be allocated for food, medical supplies, and sanitary needs.
Ayman and his family are humble, generous people who are being terrorized by the Israeli government. The Israeli government has completely destroyed their homes twice now. This is just 1 story inside of Gaza. This fundraiser will go towards our immediate family in need, although there are many other Gazans just like my family members who are in need of help. There have been over 15,000 deaths, 80% of which are women and children, and the death count continues to grow at a rate that is well past “self-defense.” We need to demand to see an immediate ceasefire. Please donate and/or share so we can help our family in Gaza.
