Tom and Mary Jane Mills Annual Hospice Fund 2023

My grandparents, Tom and Mary Jane Mills, loved Christmas. Through 71 years of marriage, they made holidays for their family the epitome of childhood magic. For them, it was always about giving back and sharing love and generosity with everyone at Christmas, from their children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren to their postman and garbage man.

I first launched this annual fundraiser in November 2021, exactly one year after my grandmother passed, as a way to honor her memory and bring a little bit of her light back into the world at Christmas for my grandfather, who missed her so terribly. My grandfather joined her in April of 2022, and this annual fundraiser, which I promised him I'd continue, is now a tribute to their epic love story and legacy of generosity.

Hospice of the Panhandle made the very final days and hours for both my grandmother and my grandfather a little bit more comfortable and beautiful. This fundraiser gives a small gift back from my Beautycounter business to all those angel nurses who give so much to families like ours all year long. Every dollar donated goes directly towards the gifts for hospice workers, and each December I donate all of my commission from my business to Hospice of the Panhandle as a financial donation as well. All funds go directly to impacting hospice workers and the families they serve.
