Still needs our help to pay his rent

Bobby still needs our help in funding to pay his rent and utilities. SSDI (Social Security Disability Insurance) still hasn't kicked in and he's in a hold status. In the meantime, he has no money because he cannot work. Any amount will be most welcomed!

Hi! My name is Mary and I'm creating this GoFundMe site for my friend Bobby Castillo. He has met with hard times due to medical issues and is unable to work. He has applied for SSDI (Social Security Disability) but it takes MONTHS for it to get approved. He's hoping it will be no later than March. For now, he has no income.

He fell 15' off an extension ladder and shattered his ball joint and broke his humerus in two places on his right shoulder. He went through an extensive, reverse shoulder replacement and went through three months of therapy. He thought he recovered from this and went back to work, not at painting but a job at Red Hawk Casino. He found out later that his right shoulder had developed complications.

When he went to work at Red Hawk Casino, he worked in the upholstery shop. There he found he had torn his rotator cuff on his left shoulder. He had only been working for them 3 months and the Casino told him they wouldn't do Workman's Compensation because it wasn't a one time incident, but something that developed over time. They did pay him some disability insurance for 5 months., but now that has run out. When x-raying his left shoulder, the doctor wanted to take a look at his right shoulder and see why it was still hurting. The doctor found that the prosthesis they had put in, was loose. He now is having surgery to his right shoulder in early December to fix the problem.

Bobby is a sweet man. I had placed an ad on Nextdoor to find a stray cat a home. He called and we talked about it. He so wanted a companion and felt a dog would be too much. He wondered if the stray would be a good fit. We named the cat Mooch and he and Bobby have bonded. That is how I met Bobby and I feel compelled to help him.

When I heard his story as to what had happened to him, I took concern and wanted to help. He desperately needs money to pay for rent, electricity, gas, and incidentals. He has no income whatsoever to tide him over until he heals. He has applied for an EBT card (State Welfare Department) which is assistance with food only.

The funds raised will go into a bank account for him to use for the next three months. We're hoping that by then, he will be able to go back to work.

Please help. It is the month of giving and sharing. He so desperately wants to keep his head above water. He has used up all of his savings.
