Fernanda's legal emergency

This is a GoFundMe for Fernanda's legal and living expenses.

On November 22, 2023, Fernanda was arrested and has been homeless, living in and out of hostels since then. She is not able to eat or sleep regularly. She is not allowed to see her dogs, whom she rescued from the streets of Brazil and loves very much. Without her, the dogs are heartbroken and have lost their appetites.

Her legal expenses are exorbitant: she currently requires $2000 and an additional $5650 for a lawyer to defend her in court, pre-trial.

Fernanda also needs a place to stay that can ideally accommodate her and one of her dogs. We hope that we can come up with at least one month's rent of approximately $1500 for her.

We know Fernanda to be a gentle woman with a big heart. She has a passion for animals and international travel, and treats everybody with empathy and patience. We hope that by raising funds for her support she can overcome this unfortunate legal battle and find an apartment to live in comfortably. We want her to quickly get back on her feet and pursue her dream of living in Canada.
