Keep warehouses out of South Harrison!

Donation protected
February Update
Please note: Mr. Edward Menold is listed as the GFM beneficiary, as he has spearheaded our work. However, this is a community effort to fight the proposed warehouse with many neighbors partnered alongside Mr. Menold.

Funds to-date have helped us educate our neighbors in South Harrison and surrounding towns and prepare for the Planning & Zoning meeting (currently set for March 11). We've hired a lawyer and land planner; both are working on our behalf to identify and document the legal and environmental impacts of the proposed warehouse.

Professional services and support are not inexpensive. Your donations are critical to help continue this important work. Please donate here or via a link on the below site.

Thank you in advance for any part you can play in preserving open space in South Jersey and the local beauty we all hold dear.

We're preparing for our first legal payment. Please donate what you can and share with neighbors and friends!

Funds will be used for legal fees and awareness communications (such as signs and flyers). Based on similar efforts in surrounding communities, legal fees are expected to about $25,000.

How this Affects You
While the warehouse expansion is proposed in South Harrison, the site is SIX MILES from any major highways, meaning the six mile truck routes will affect those in Mullica Hill, Woodstown, Pilesgrove, Logan and other surrounding towns.

There is NO expected tax advantage/reduction for local citizens from the increased revenue/business at this site.

About Our Group of Concerned Neighbors & Citizens
My name is Jen and I'm one of many neighbors in South Harrison working to preserve the peace and safety of our beautiful farmland community. We're facing a tough battle ahead as we work to stop the massive expansion of a cold warehouse in our neighborhood. Today, a smaller facility brings big rigs barreling down our quiet country roads at all hours of the day and night. The proposed expansion would potentially quadruple - or more - the truck traffic with negative impacts on local wildlife, our neighborhoods, property values and the tranquil beauty of this place we love.

The proposed expansion will certainly benefit the business owner by fattening his wallet while the community pays the price. We're asking our neighbors and friends to pitch in and help us fight this expansion. Funds will be used for Legal counsel to ensure we explore every opportunity to defeat this proposal.

South Harrison is a truly beautiful and special place with a long history of farming and community. Dropping a high traffic business in the middle of our small country community will stress our roads, nerves and destroy the very atmosphere that each of us lives here to enjoy.

Please, give what you can and reach out if you want to join us in the fight to preserve our neighborhood. Keep warehouses out of South Harrison! Thank you.
