A Devestating Loss and Special Needs

My name is Carla Ruff and I have a very dear friend, Nikki Redmond who's family just lost everything except for the clothes on their backs. Their home caught on fire and they were all able to get out, but the loss is compounded by so many other factors. She has three boys and one is a complete quadriplegic. His needs are paramount to his survival. All of the medical supplies, bed, wheelchairs, medications and so much more are gone. They don't even have coats or shoes as the focus was to just get everyone to safety. Nikki is a sole provider for so much more than finances. She has a very demanding job, she's a single mother and a grandmother as well as her son's guardian angel. Our jobs are so stressful and she is just like me and will work sometimes 60-70 hours a week and come home to relieve the nurse and take care of her family. I lovingly call her Pollyanna because she has the patience of Job and looks for the good in everyone. She is loved by so many and I know her friends, family and people who care, and don't even know them, will want to help. They literally have NOTHING except the inadequate clothes they escaped the fire in. No matter how small the donation, please help and pray for this family. If you know of anyone with medical equipment for her son that can be borrowed until they can get this straightened out, that would be a huge help as well. He is paralyzed from the neck down, and the costs of those items alone is not available right now when he needs it most. They realized how blessed they were to have gotten every single person out alive, but they are in shock and running on pure adrenaline. As soon as they get rested enough to realize the magnitude of what has just happened, it's going to feel insurmountable. Please help, anything is better than what they have right now.
