Fundraiser Face Off for Lizzy Gascho

Hi, My name is Christy and an absolutely incredible human being, and my little sister, needs our help after her life was traumatically altered on November, 9 2023 after a freak accident while feeding her horses left her with extensive facial fractures.

If there is a person in this world with a selfless heart and a bright shining light- it is Lizzy. She does countless things for those around her- she is dedicated to her church and spreading love to others, she volunteers for the Good Life Rescue where she has fostered many dogs and has hand fed baby kittens back to life several times. She absolutely loves her animals and has no plans to stop doing so even if this horrendous accident occurred during there care.

Lizzy is just starting her own dog grooming business and so being self employed that leaves a person without great benefits. She started her medical journey at St. Francis Medical Center as they are a higher level trauma center but unfortunately the insurance she DOES have is not one that they accept, and she required medical transport to UNMC for extensive facial reconstructive surgery by a team of specialists which was a 5 hour procedure. Not to mention two overnight stays in the hospital, many follow ups in Omaha, and the high deductibles that come with affordable insurance plans.

Lizzy has no idea i am starting this fundraiser, and she will feel overwhelmed i am sure but i believe in the goodness of others like i believe in the goodness in her. I know she has so many supporters many of whom she has never even met that would love to help her, so lets do everything we can to get her back to taking care of the world like she loves to do.
