Lucas recover from the loss of his mother and home

Thank you all for your continued support! Lucas Rawson, a lifelong resident of Brattleboro VT, was hit with unthinkable tragedy when he lost his mother, his home and all his belongings in a fire on Saturday, November 25th. His mother, Dierdre Baker was well known, and loved, throughout the Brattleboro community and beyond. Those who knew her knew that she would do anything to help another person, whether she knew them or not. She had a most caring heart and even though she faced her own personal battle with cancer, it never slowed her down in her quest to help others. Whenever Deirdre left an event, a group of friends or just a single person, she always left with, "I love you all!".

In honor of Dierdre's memory we are asking for support for her only son Lucas. Lucas has been left with nothing but the clothes he had on. Lucas has the same kind and generous spirit that his mother had. Even though money can never replace everything he has lost, he now needs to find a place to live, be able to furnish it, start a new wardrobe and any other items we take for granted just having in our homes.

Lucas is humbled and already overwhelmed by all the love the community has shown him. Anything you can donate, no matter how small, he will appreciate it with a truly heartfelt thanks.
