Rehabilitate Hendy and get his families life back!

In January 2023 my Stepdad, Jason (or Hendy as most of you will know him)and my Mam and sisters life was turned upside down when we very nearly lost him due to a unexpected aneurysm in his brain bursting. At the young age of 52 he suffered a haemorrhagic stroke leaving him paralysed on his right side and potentially unable to walk, talk or swallow. He spent 10 long months in hospital and thankfully, due to his previous physical fitness and imput from family and friends he has done much better than doctors ever thought he would. Jason has still been left with many deficits which he is so determined to overcome. He was a hardworking dryliner who loved his job with all of his heart and the one thing he longs for is to get back to work again in some capacity. He is one of the most hardworking men on this planet and has paid into the system for 36 years and now in his and his families time of need, the system aren't interested. They refuse any help for them. While Jason was in hospital, his family (my mam and younger sister) have been surviving on an income from a rented property which doesn't even cover half of the cost of living and the financial commitments that Jason paid for with his self employed wage as a dry liner. Every small amount of help applied for by my family was refused and they were left with basically nothing to pay the bills or live off, whilst at the same time staying by Jasons side everyday and supporting him as much as they could through such a scary time for them all. They have been fighting for 10 month for financial help as well as help with Jasons rehabilitation needs and they still have not been successful. A PIP claim is still pending for them and even now Jason is home from hospital they say it could take months. The stroke has caused Jasons body to be colder than normal which means now he is home from hospital lots more gas needs to be used. With Christmas round the corner also, life is definitely hard and testing for them. This has caused a lot of stress and upset for my Mam, which has been heartbreaking to see. Trying to stay strong and keep life normal for a 12 year old and juggle all the obsticals medically and financially has been very straining for her. They have had to rely on friends and family and have recently turned to local charities for food and energy vouchers. Jason needs so much more rehabilitation to achieve his goal of getting back on his feet and back to work, and at the moment he's lucky if he sees a physio for 1 hour a week, which just isn't enough to get him fighting fit. So far the only service we can find for someone with brain injuries is a place called Neuroactive near Chester le Street. The latest blow they've been dealt is to be told they aren't eligible for help towards the Neuroactive place for Jason financially. They either fund it themselves or do without which leaves Jason sat at home 24/7 with nothing to do. His mental health is being impacted massively by this.
He isn't getting the help he needs to achieve the things he's capable of, and he just wants to make a start on getting better as soon as possible. The constant stress and worry about how they will manage everything, and the constant fight they've had to be granted the same help as others who don't and have never worked as hard as Jason has been the worst part in this whole journey. If it hadn't been for some of the amazing friends they have so far, they literally wouldn't have managed, and I dread to think what situation they would be in now.
I've set this page up because I know they deserve so much more than what they are recieving and we need to get Jason to Neuroactiveuk and doing other activities so he can progress and get back to his normal self. Any help at all will pay for at least some sessions.
The sessions cost £40 for a half day then they have to pay about £15 for the transport. I know times are hard for a lot of people at the minute, so if you can even give anything, then I thank you so so much, you're amazing!
