Stella fighting Leukemia

Hi, we are Kayla, Kelly and Melissa, and we are fundraising for our dear friend, Katie and her sweet family as they navigate through the extremely tough journey of their 4 year old daughter, Stella, battling Leukemia. In October 2023, Stella went to see her pediatrician for a sick visit that resulted in a transfer to the ER and finally to Brenner's Children's hospital. They initially thought Stella's issues were asthma related, but after several rounds of labs and testing Stella was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, just one month after her 4th birthday. Treatment has consisted of many hospital stays, chemo, steroids, more intense daily chemo treatments, surgical procedures to test her bone marrow, transfusions and the list goes on. These treatments will continue for many months. She has already lost most of her hair, but she still looks gorgeous of course. During this time Stella's mother and father have been taking time off of work to be with their sick daughter. Katie, Stella's mother, is running out of PTO time, but is able to have paid caregiver leave when she needs it. Her employer is working with her as much as possible to support them in this time of need. However, we know that the stress of working and waiting for the medical bills to come in is going to be extremely tough. Our goal is to help Katie and her husband Ray in any way that we can to support them financially. Our hope is to relieve some of their stress by even a small amount.
