Save a Venezuelan Family From Living on the Street

My name is Jeff and my wife Caitlin and I would like to change the future of a Venezuelan family that we have come to know in recent weeks.

Bridgette and her two children ages 3 and 9 (pictured here with a few other children who arrived with them) recently made the journey to the United States seeking refuge from their home country of Venezuela. They are one of thousands of asylum seekers that have made the trek to Denver in 2023.

Like most, Bridgette arrived in Denver with almost nothing to her name other than her family. The city does provide them housing in a hotel for a month - but after that she is unfortunately required to find her own housing, work, food, etc. Understandably, the majority of these families end up on the street in local encampments. This is the immediate future for Bridgette and her small children, destined to weather a cold, Denver winter homeless.

While Caitlin and I have been doing everything we can to get food, warm clothing, sleeping bags, etc to help as many of these families as we can - we know that to truly change the trajectory of Bridgette's life it will take a much more involved hand. Our goal is to raise $10,000 so we can help Bridgette find a place to live for a year while we support her in getting documentation to work, a job, English training, her kids in schools, and ultimately her life in order so she can be self sustaining for her family.
