My name is Corey Hager, I’m doing this for my mother Patricia… And I know by providing the picture I did of her (if she was in her right mind she’d kill me) it will show people how far she’s deteriorated. I’ve cared for Mom alone the last 4 years. I have no siblings, my family hasn’t even really checked on her much, let alone step up financially. I have known from a young age that her brothers wouldn’t help. They never did for their own parents. Mom cared for my grandparents almost solely. My mom was aware of them and how they were and had no respect for her brothers because of that. She warned me they’d never be there. I’m disappointed in them however, and I’m disappointed in my father’s family for not stepping up to help me help her. I may be all alone, but I’m a man and will continue to make my way. I don’t want a DIME from anyone. Even though I’ve had to liquidate my savings and have had to stop my college education to take care of her. For the record, I’d do it again and again. Please don’t feel sympathy for me, I’m not doing this for any kind of hand out for myself. Im doing this because my Mother is and always will be my number one girl. Im barely surviving with what I’m making working but this is all about her. I can’t give her unfortunately the Christmas she deserves. She is in a memory care unit in Parkersburg. I feel like such a failure for being in this position… But I’m trying and doing my best. Please help me gift her with new clothing and some care packages for Christmas. I’ve never done something like this, I never would for myself… But this is my Momma. So this is different. I’ll try to pay you all back. Help me make this Christmas a special one for her, cause it very well could be her last. She’s in stage 5 of 6 with an aggressive form of dementia. She needs “relax and lounge clothing”. I’ll attach her sizes, or you can just make a donation and me and Jessica from Eagle Pointe will use the money to buy everything ❤️
