Hull's First Community Pub - Save The New Clarence
Donation protected
The New Clarence pub in the heart of Hull city centre closed its doors on Friday 30th June 2023 and it was just one in a long line of many pubs in Hull that have closed and been converted to houses or demolished. Time is running out and we want to save The New Clarence and keep it as a pub. We have until April 24th 2024 to rescue it!
We are a community group that has been set up to buy the pub and run it as a not-for-profit, community-owned, community-run enterprise.
This site is open for anyone to make a donation to help the campaign to buy and renovate The New Clarence. For a very limited time, shares are still available to purchase via CrowdFunder here: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/hull-community-pub
We have been awarded a grant of £300,000 from the Community Ownership Fund but we still need as much extra funding as we can get to ensure the project is a success in the long-term.
