Fund a Scholarship in Wesley Francis' honor

Donation protected
Hello, my name is King Lee and I would like to tell you about Wesley Francis and why we would like to fund a scholarship in his name for deserving college students, who work in the hospitality industry, to make ends meet. Wes was tragically killed by an assailant while minding his own business, after working his shift at Tempest Restaurant, in Charleston, SC on November 10, 2023. For anyone who has dined at Tempest where he was the lead server, or had Wes as a bartender at the Charlie Noble on Nantucket, you would remember Wes as the guy who would listen and more importantly, make you smile.

Although Wes never graduated from college; he earned his stripes working his way up from bussing tables, to bartender, to waiter, to an indispensible team leader for Tempest Restaurant. Wes was a diligent hard worker who never forgot his roots, his friends and his family. We would like to honor Wes' memory by offering scholarships to working college students at any of the 5th Street Group restaurants throughout the US. We feel this would be an ideal way to preserve Wes' legacy among his many friends in the hospitality industry.
