Memorial Fund for Carol Wilmeth

On Sunday, November 26th, Carol passed away unexpectedly. Although her health had been declining, we were blindsided by her death. John most of all.
John and Carol married in Las Vegas on February 28, 1998. Their relationship was full of love, laughter, and mutual support. They spent 25 years creating memories side by side, never wavering in their dedication and love for each other. As Carol's health declined, John put aside his career to become her primary caretaker. It is a testament to his devotion to Carol that she was able to remain at the home they created together. At times, he sacrificed his own health to tend to Carol and help her maintain her dignity and fulfill her wish to remain at home. John provided my mother with unconditional love and support. My brothers and I will forever be in his debt, as he took on the brunt of her care as we each moved from Oklahoma for our careers.
In one moment, John lost his love, his companion, and his purpose. It is my belief that no one can fully prepare for losing the great love of one's life. Unfortunately, due to the sudden nature of her death, he was unable to prepare financially for her funeral costs.
As he begins this difficult journey on his own, we humbly ask for your help in offsetting the funeral costs for our dad. My mother lived, dreamed, and loved big. I hope that everyone that knew her knows how much she loved each of you. In one of her final writings before she stopped journaling, she wrote a message to her loved ones to ensure that one day upon her death we would continue to be comforted by her love. "To all of you, I will all that I was and what I have become to your memories and know I loved you deeply and without reservations. Remember I am smiling down at you and will be waiting for the day we can meet again". I hope that her words bring comfort to anyone that loved her.
She is greatly missed.
