Officer Mayhew needs our Help

This fundraiser is to assist and support Officer Lauren Mayhew with supplements, medical bills and other expenses as she battles cancer. Two weeks ago, Officer Mayhew was celebrating a new pregnancy and getting follow up blood work. Unfortunately, this blood work eventually revealed she had AML Leukemia. To make matters worse, her course of treatment meant she had to have her pregnancy terminated because she would be undergoing a heavy dose of immediate chemo therapy. Lauren said her angel baby saved her life.

Lauren was previously a dispatcher for the town of Suffield. In 2018 she became a Windsor Police Officer. Since then, Lauren has joined peer support, helping fellow officers cope with a variety of difficulties. She is a certified car seat technician, and is a member of the North Central Regional Crisis Negotiation Team. Lauren is a respected member of the Windsor Police Department that is always the first one to offer help to anyone in need.

Lauren has an 8 month old daughter Rheya who needs her mommy. I hope we can all come together to help assist her full recovery. Thank You
