Lyn's Battle Against Bladder Cancer and Stroke Recovery
Donation protected
In January of this year, my mother Lyn was diagnosed with stage four bladder cancer. Our entire family has been devastated by this news. Following the diagnosis, she was forced to retire early so she could focus on treatment. With the focus on treatment, it has been extremely difficult for my father, Kenny, to work while taking Lyn to appointments. This has caused a strain on our family, and the medical bills continue to pile up. On Labor Day, she had a stroke that forced her to be admitted to the hospital for a week. While she was in the hospital, she had another stroke that caused slurred speech and double vision. At this time, she requires assistance while walking and performing everyday activities. She just returned home today, but she will require therapy multiple days a week.
Although my mother has a ways to go, she remains stronger and more optimistic than ever. She continues to greet everyone with a smile on her face. If you don’t know her well, she is constantly displaying a positive outlook on life. No matter her circumstance, she remains the happiest person in the room.
Any contribution would mean the world to our family. Whether it’s through money or prayers, we will be so grateful.
