Charles Godfrey

On Sunday, November 19, 2023, while Charlie was working overseas in a deployed location he suffered a major heart attack. Due to a lack of available medical care and bad weather, he was unable to get immediate medical intervention. He was transferred to a medical facility, but he ended up coding twice for a total of approximately 30 minutes. Although he was brought back, he is still unconscious, and it is currently unknown how much damage his body has suffered from the lack of oxygen. It is believed that his liver and kidneys have been damaged, and he will need to undergo dialysis. He was given drugs to relieve some of the stress on his heart. He is intubated and is currently getting 50% of his oxygen from the vent. After a week, there is still no change neurologically

It is extremely difficult situation for the family due to the distance and being unable to get to be by his side, now that he has finally made it to Germany we are doing everything we can to get to him. Any donations will go to relieving some financial stress for the Godfrey family while Charlie is fighting.
