Never take anything for granted. Life can change in an instant. It did for my 19-year nephew, Trey Michel, on the morning of November 14, 2023. Trey was home from college on Thanksgiving break, helping out his Mom by taking the dog to the groomer, when he was involved in a horrific, fiery car crash. Trey's car flipped over, caught fire, and he suffered severe 3rd degree burns and was left in critical condition at the ICU Burn Unit where he remains today at Upstate Medical Hospital in Syracuse.
His survival is nothing short of a miracle as he was pulled from his burning car by 6 courageous first responders just 20 seconds before it exploded. Trey has endured multiple surgeries and is facing many more on his courageous road to recovery. Medical bills, ongoing treatments, necessary rehabilitation, and unexpected housing and transportation costs are mounting. I'm hopeful with your generosity we can offset some of these costs and support his family of 6 in their new 'normal'.

This will be a journey for Trey. The hospital stay is expected to be 40 or more days and nights along with months and years of continued rehabilitation. We know as each day passes, we are one day closer to the goals set forth in Trey’s recovery.
