Help the Kalderon family rebuild their life

We are raising money for the Kalderon family whose entire home was burned in Kibbutz Nir Oz- they lost everything.

Erez and Sahar have just returned home, and are still awaiting their father Ofer.

On October 7th, the family woke up to sirens as rockets from Gaza bombarded their community, Kibbutz Nir Oz. Red alerts happen often in Israel, so they thought it was business as usual, but nevertheless they immediately went to the bomb shelter in their home. As the hours progressed, they knew things were not normal and getting worse because they could hear Hamas terrorizing their neighbors house. They realized Hamas was setting the homes on fire Smoke began entering their home and bomb shelter so they could not hide any longer, even though they knew they’d face the terrorists. They jumped out of the window, and Sahar, Erez and Ofer were kidnapped. Their grandmother, Carmela Dan was murdered, along with their cousin Noya Dan.

Erez, 12, and Sahar, 16, spent 52 days as hostages in Gaza. They were finally released on November 27th as part of the temporary ceasefire deal. Unfortunately they have been separated from their father Ofer, who is currently still captive.

Hamas completely destroyed their home and everything inside it when they burnt it down on October 7th. The family not only has to deal with the trauma that follows being held hostage and the events that transpired on October 7t, but also needs to rebuild their entire lives from scratch.
