Happy Christmas Circus Show for Kids in Rwanda

Background of happy kids - Happy Christmas toward trained children at Unity Circus

Since 2021, Unity Circus Sport has been a young organization which has taken initiative to help children from different backgrounds and households, to celebrate their Christmas. Actually, this event took place in the center of Kanembwe (Western Rwanda) three years ago on the date of 24th up to 26th December for. Children from different corners of Rubavu district in Western Province have tremendously attended, have food, joy and happiness for sure.

For the last two years, the event has been spread toward the Northern Province of Rwanda to the homeless children. The board of Unity Circus with little talented children that have been trained to the center used to get there for the sharing of the celebration. The impact was that the children remembered the stories and knew that there is someone who cares about them. The experience is that while getting to the field, the children should share the stories and shows. The shows mainly were based on the acrobatics, pyramids, dances and drama.

The impacts were that most of those children have accepted to return into their families and several of them are attending their schools regularly. We have been day by day involved in the lives of kids from poor families, some living on the streets. As explained above, Unity Circus intends to prepare this Happy Kid- Happy Christmas GoFund me as to help celebrate with these children the party of Christmas.

Merry Christmas is for Happy people and that's why we want a HAPPY CHRISTMAS to those kids as Christmas is known as Kids' celebration day but if their parents can't afford it. You can't celebrate if you are poor or not happy.

We are planning 3 shows for vulnerable children, children who live on the street, children with disabilities and sharing some food with them. Reward those who have worked hard at school to motivate others to study hard as their future lies behind the books and we want to give school materials to those in need.

Together we can make 400 kids happy this coming Christmas. Yes We can do it!

Planned activities:

Dates and place for the X-Mas of the show:

1. Rubavu in Gisenyi: Disability center - clowning performance

2. Rubavu/Kanembwe: Home the circus

3. Musanze: Street children of Northern Province

Total estimated number of children: 450 Kids

Conclusion:

As this event evolves many people, it is believed that much will be achieved and many children will have joy and happiness with the target of attending schools hence achieving good lives.

Estimated budget:

With the current exchange rate of 1 Euro = 1,348Frw. Everyone with a good heart can do much with little as a simple family of at 5 people can live on average 3 Euros per day in Rwanda. Below is the table of everything we need to make this happen.

About Unity Circus:

Children are like Angels but they are suffering due to extreme poverty of their families and we can't blame parents because every parent wishes good for his/her kid.

Parents can't afford the minimum for their kids to be happy (food, clothes, school,..) and the kids become victims and this deprives them from their Joy and Happiness which is a must for kids.

We go by the name of Unity Circus. We have been day by day involved in the lives of kids from poor families, some living on the streets. We managed to bring several kids from the street back to school and others back into their families. Every Christmas We like to share with kids through Happy kid happy XMas project. UNITY Circus was founded with 6 young circus performers who also know street life and now running a local project to help kids through acro-theater, as professional artists we have Prepared a big show called HAPPY Kid- Happy Christmas.
