Help me burry my mom in Haiti

Christina Petit Frere is someone that makes everyone around her laugh because she is the epitome of kindness, love, and laughter. She’s a beloved friend, loyal daughter, and loving sister. Christina's story begins with her leaving Haiti at the age of twelve, just after the 2010 earthquake, leaving behind her mother and three younger siblings. Christina and her family have remained in regular contact despite their physical distance.

Christina moved to America and lived with her grandparents, her aunt, and her aunt’s kids. While her aunt and grandparents provided support, Christina, driven by a sense of independence, became self-sufficient at a young age. Ever since she reached the legal age to work, she has diligently worked and sent financial assistance back home, shouldering the responsibility of being the primary provider for her mother and siblings.

Unfortunately, on Sunday, November 26th, 2023, while at work, Christina received a tragic call from Haiti. Her younger brother released the tragic news of their mother’s passing.

Christina's current objective is to quickly travel to Haiti to attend her mother's funeral and reunite with her younger siblings. Unfortunately, Christina's limited resources provide major obstacles to her ability to go and to help with the associated funeral costs.
