Support Gabe Odell's Diagnosis

Hello everyone, my name is Abbey Shannon and I am fundraising for my boyfriend, Gabe Odell.

Gabe was recently diagnosed with a rare cancer (Rhabdomyosarcoma) in August 2023. He has undergone 2 major surgeries in the past 3 months and is now getting his first chemo treatment at The James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, OH. His treatment plan consists of a 5-6 day inpatient stay every 3 weeks as it is a harsh plan that requires constant monitoring. He will be receiving treatment for the next 6 months and there are a lot of unknowns that come with it. Since his diagnosis is so rare and only 1% of the United States has had this same disease, they are unsure of the best treatment plan and the odds of it returning are very high. We are doing everything in our power to stay positive and pray that we will get through this!

As many of you can imagine, getting this diagnosis at such a young age (23) was a shock and very hard to understand and accept. He has been working as much as possible given the circumstances, but his job doesn't offer any sort of assistance… so when he doesn't work, he doesn't get paid. This has left Gabe very low in funds and anxious for what is to come next.

As we go through this process, Gabe is now starting to receive expensive medical bills. As this is very hard for us to publicly announce, we are hoping to gain some assistance. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated and used towards medical bills and daily living expenses.

As I am sure this post will come with a lot of questions, please know we will keep you updated as we progress through this disease together.
