Secure Grandparents’ Reasonable Visitation

Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Strangers,

We are reaching out on behalf of our long time friends, Gill and Kim Willrett.

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and a profound need for support. Their family has been through a series of challenging circumstances, and they are now in a position where they must seek rights to reasonable visitation with their beloved granddaughters.

Their story began with love, and it continues with love.

After a brief and serious illness, their daughter, Amy Willrett Cogdill, passed away suddenly on January 4th, 2023. She was a beloved daughter, sister to Jessica, mother, aunt, educator, and a devoted wife.

Since Amy’s death, visitation with their three granddaughters has been severely limited.

As loving grandparents, they have always stepped in to provide emotional support for their granddaughters. While they were young, the Willretts provided several years of childcare while their parents were working. They cherished every moment of that time. They know that they still can provide them with unconditional love, a nurturing relationship, and only want what is best for their safety, happiness, and well-being.

Efforts to mediate a reasonable visitation arrangement with the father, to see their three granddaughters, have been unsuccessful.

The legal process of gaining grandparents’ rights is complex and expensive. It could include legal fees, court costs, home evaluations, and more. This is where we humbly ask for your help. Your generous support can make a world of difference for the Willrett family. Your contribution will go directly towards legal fees & court costs. All contributions will go towards covering the costs of hiring an experienced family law attorney to represent them in court.

Every dollar you contribute will bring them one step closer to continuing their relationship with their three granddaughters. Your support, no matter how big or small, will have a profound impact on the lives of Amy’s daughters: ages 15, 12, and 9.

We understand that not everyone may be in a position to contribute financially, and that's absolutely understandable. Your moral support, prayers, and sharing this fundraiser with your network are also immensely valuable.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read our story and consider helping. Together, we can provide a brighter future for Amy's precious girls. Your kindness and compassion are deeply appreciated.

With love and gratitude,
