Hi my name is Jeremy Austin I’m 32 years old I’ve recently been diagnosed with Colon Cancer on August 15th 2023 my life changed. Before I was diagnosed I really didn’t notice too much of anything while while I was out working on the road until I started feeling a little weak that was all, but one day I fell out while I was at home but got back up like nothing had happened, the very next day I started having fever chills and night sweats, that’s when I decided to take myself to the hospital. While at the the hospital the doctors ran blood tests and a CT Scan, after the results came back from the CT Scan that immediately admitted into the hospital, the doctor told me that I had a Mass around my colon and they wanted to run some more test. I stayed in the hospital for 5 days and was told that I couldn’t eat anything and that I had to get prepared for a Colonoscopy and that’s when I was given Golytely solution to help with the colonoscopy. While in the hospital blood were taken and questions were still being asked. Thursday morning was the day for to have my colonoscopy, I had to go through this procedure to get some results. After the test I didn’t find out anything the doctors told me that I would be getting discharged the next day and that the results would be in on Monday. Monday afternoon was when I got the call from Emory and that they wanted me to into the office to speak with me. So I head up to the office, signed in and I was called to the back and was told to go to in the room, while in the room 4 people came in, which I knew this couldn’t be good, they asked me to confirm my name and birth date that’s when I the doctor told me "Mr. Austin you have colon cancer"all I could do was look at him. From that day my life has changed, I went from 210lbs to 160lbs, I’ve lost a lot of blood, muscle and energy. I had to have 3 blood transfusions and a procedure where they had to do an incision to get rid of an infection that was causing me to have to stop doing chemotherapy. As of now I’m back doing chemotherapy, I haven’t been able to work because because of my health condition and really would appreciate it the support from you guys if you could help me while I’m on this journey. Donations will going towards medical bills, chemotherapy treatments and physical therapy as well as surgery. All I can I do is keep God first and ask for your prayers and support.
