Mental health time away for Elise
Donation protected
Elise suffers from clinical depression. Her doctor recommends 7-10 days away (alone) every few months. Since this is not hospitalization (which is unnecessary as she is not in danger of self harm or to others) it is not covered by insurance and is beyond the family's financial means.
Right now in her current state she's unable to care for her family in any parental way and unable to care for many of her own needs. Our family wants her back.
Everyday tasks now cause her confusion and bring on crying. She also suffers from unrelenting chronic pain following neck and shoulder surgeries one year ago, and which are made worse by daily household activity.
At times she is so overcome that she is unable to speak.
This is a medical necessity to keep her out of the hospital; unfortunately while hospitalization would be covered by insurance, avoiding hospitalization level needs is not covered by insurance.
