Moving Mountains for Drew
Donation protected
Our son/brother/grandson/nephew/cousin, Drew Stephens, is a fantastic 24-year-old guy who's going through a really rough time. On January 8, Drew was finishing his last sweeps as an EMT and Wilderness First Responder at Terry Peak (the SD ski resort where he works) when he fell from a chairlift and sustained a severe spinal cord injury. He has a long road ahead of him, but if there's anyone who can take on this challenge, it's him.

We've created this site to support Drew with the costs of medical assistance, rehabilitation and physical therapy, costs of adapting his lifestyle, and his family's travel costs to be with him during a long recovery. These costs can run into the tens of thousands of dollars, so we want to give Drew as much of a headstart as possible.
Any donation, large or small, will move mountains to return Drew to the lifestyle he loves. Please help us get our mountain man back into the mountains by chipping in and telling your friends!

Drew has so much going for him. He is strong, fit, healthy, and stubborn as hell. He also has the benefit of a huge group of family and friends who send their gratitude for your prayers, positive thoughts, and love. He is an outdoorsman, a beer fiend, a little brother, a son, a friend to many, and a relentless pursuer of happiness.

Drew's currently recovering in Rapid City and is resting a bit more comfortably after leaving the ICU. When he's stronger he will be relocating to a world-renowned rehabilitation hospital focusing on spinal cord injuries. Once there, Drew will begin the healing process and start the work to get back to his active lifestyle.
Thanks for your support and check out his caringbridge site for updates on his progress.
While Drew is hospitalized and rehabilitating, his mother Bonnie Stephens will have access to Drew's GoFundMe account to withdraw funds as necessary.
