Gaza:Help Yasser, Sham, and their Family to Survive Genocide

Dear Friend,

I am Yasser A. Shamia 30 years old a Palestinian from Gaza Strip.

My family and i we are displaced in the city's beach of KhanYounis where it is our last safe place, we consisting of 9 members, ask you for urgent help in order to escape this genocide.

Our lives have turned into a life of homelessness, insecurity, and loss of the future.

This is what weighs heavily on me, my father, my mother, two brothers and three sisters, my brother wife, and one young children.

Every member of my family has a dream and ambition.

I work as a graphic designer and editor.

I am innovative in my work and constantly seek to excel.

You are all aware of and have witnessed the war in the Gaza Strip, which has destroyed our aspirations, hopes, houses and streets, jobs, and reduced us to a point of no return.

My family and I were forced to live in tents by the sea in Khan Yunis after our house was bombed and destroyed.

The living conditions are tough and unpleasant, and we yearn to return.

We are having difficulties adjusting to this way of life due to a lack of water, electricity, proper or healthy food, and medicine.

Thus, our greatest aim is to return to our homes, fix what has been destroyed and bombed, and resume our usual lives.

My family and I am hoping that the world's free people will help us reclaim our lives.

My father, Akram Shamia, is 56 years old.

He sustained a foot injury as a result of the bombing in Khan Yunis.

As a result, he lost some of his foot.

He has diabetes and high blood pressure.

He later had stents placed in his heart owing to a stroke.

He had it two years ago, so it is difficult for us to treat him at Gaza's hospitals, because there is no treatment in this suffocating blockade on hospitals.

Everyone is aware that diabetics are vulnerable to foot injuries since healing takes time and requires special attention.

I am currently working on collecting funds to get him out of Gaza and treated in Egyptian hospitals, but this requires coordination with the patient and his companion, as well as $14,000 to fly outside of Gaza. Please help us.

This is Sham, "Picture below" our family's little girl.

She is six years old. She is everything to our family. She has not yet believed that our house was destroyed and requests every day to return home to view it and live in it, because the living in tents and displacement could not be supported by us, and we cannot leave the children alone.

I hope we can travel back in time and return to our lives, and one day I will see Sham wearing her school uniform, going to school, and beginning her educational journey.

She want to become a doctor in the future to aid the sick and injured. This is her dream.

Give us our life back by assisting my family and attempting to flee Gaza at this time; we will return once the war is over.

The situation after almost 8 months of this genocide is that Gaza’s borders are unfortunately still closed and no one can get out of it, of course unless you pay the biggest amount of money to save your life and to cross Rafah border to get to Egypt, crossing Rafah border costs around 5000 to 7000 dollars for each person and as a family of 9 persons, the amount of money we have to pay just to get to Egypt seems impossible to afford.

So here is How money will be spent:

* paying around 7000 US Dollars to every member of my 9-member family to cross Rafah border and get safely to Egypt

* Around 6000$ covering GoFundMe transaction fees (2.9% + 0.30$ per transaction)

* The rest of the money will be for housing, food & etc. for a period of time in Egypt

Asking for your help is the only way I have to rescue my family’s life and future, your help may become our hope when hope is far away from us under these conditions, every dollar you can help with may save a life, bring hope to a tired heart and save a future of a youth one

Please don’t read this as a tragedy story ,, I’m here to ask you to prevent it from getting more tragedy and to help us start our life all over again.

I never dreamed that one day I would write these words to gather funds, because we were having a great life, but this conflict is our sorrow.
