My goal of raising $2,000 by June 18, 2018, for a two-week trip to Singapore. The reason I hope to go this summer is to get a feel of a nine-week missionary training program that starts on June 5, 2018. However, as I graduate on June 15, 2018, I will not arrive on time. In the two weeks I’ll be able to see how they teach and train people in missionary work. I will not only read and study the Bible but will also do hands- on work. The program is being run by Pastor Steven Nicaud, who is a pastor at Antioch Centre for The Nation. The $2,000 will be used to pay for a round trip airplane ticket and for meals. I discovered this program through my science teacher at my school, who is willing to take me while she and her husband visit her family in Singapore. When my teacher was sharing to me the pastor’s testimony and the missionary work he does, I started to cry and cry. I wasn’t sure why I was crying and feeling this way, but I believe it was a moment where the Holy Spirit showed up and decided to pour on me. This incident is one of the reasons I hope to go and visit. When attending I hope to get a better understanding on what it means to serve God by serving others and sharing the Gospel, I hope to learn what a worldwide missionary means. I hope to grow a stronger and deeper personal relationship with God.
If the program seemed to go well and settles right within me, I hope on returning and attending the nine-week program in 2019, and if God shows me that He wants me to continue there and work for Him I intend on obeying.
Please feel free to support me in any way you can, whether it’s with prayer and/or money. Both are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read, Shalom!
