Kelvin Jackett “KJ”

It’s hard to capture what my father meant, not only to myself, but to everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. My dad spent 51 years living life to the fullest, and he was called home on Monday, October 17th. Kelvin Jackett “KJ” wore many hats, he was a beloved husband, father, PAPA, son, brother friend, and business man. He cared so much for the people around him. His charisma, wit, wise words, and unconditional love are just a few things that made him such a pleasure to be around. To know him was to know how God works through us to touch the lives of others. His spirit was infectious and he dedicated his life to his family and to helping those around him. He was a man you can depend on. He knew how to solve any problem and had a knack for knowing the right things to say. He also lived with big dreams. The type of dreams he knew were only in reach with God by his side. He often spoke of creating the type of generational wealth that would provide for his grandchildrens children. He spent his last days working tirelessly to achieve his goals. He was a man full of life and passion for his family, business and God. He dreamt of working alongside his wife and sons to provide a beautiful life where we live together and enjoy the fruits of our labor. He was a believer in hard work and grit. He aspired for us to grow closer together as we grew older. He modeled and embodied everything he wanted his sons to be. He started his days with worship music and was in constant prayer and reading his Bible. Although he was unable to accomplish everything he wanted on Earth, he lived a life worth remembering. His legacy continues through his children and grandchildren. He would want us to be comforted by the fact that we will see him again. My father was the greatest man I’ve ever known.
