A Road to Home - Jenny and Hudson Brown

Hello we are the family of Jenny and Hudson Brown. This is the story of Jenny‘s recovery back from a brain bleed and stroke which happened on July 7, 2022; forever changing their lives.

Jenny is a single mother, raising her 16 year old son, Hudson and their beloved dog, Hank. She had just been bouncing back after spending two years caring for her dad when the stroke occurred from undiagnosed high blood pressure. Jenny had recently acquired a reliable used car and a permanent full time job, where she was truly valued for her hard work ethic.

As a result of the brain bleed and stroke Jenny has lost mobility of her right hand and right foot and is currently in a rehab facility. She has transitioned from being completely bed ridden, to wheelchair, and now wheelchair/walker with assistance and is working hard in rehab with speech therapy, self-care, standing, and stepping as she waits for the hand and leg to wake. A loving family member is caring for Hudson in their home and their beloved dog Hank has been sent back to the breeder for care.

Since day one Hudson has been an advocate for his mother, encouraging her, asking good questions, researching information, advocating and praying for his Mom. His dream is to be back in his home with his family.

We her family want to be able to celebrate Jenny’s upcoming 50th birthday in her home and feel it is attainable. Jenny has always been a blessing to her family; we are excited about her progress made and more to come in the days ahead.

Jenny is hardworking, we her family see her in time to come back contributing to the workforce and caring for her son and dog to the best of her ability.

All funds collected will go to creating a home which will aid in Jenny‘s recovery and rehabilitation. She will be in need of ramping into the home, grab bars installed inside and out, bathroom modifications and other modifications to her home that she is able to reside on the first floor.
