Dental Care Help

Hi, my name is Hayley & I’ve struggled with dental issues most of my life. With a combination of crappy genetics and one too many fevers as a child, my teeth never calcified properly which led to constant problems.

This has always been pretty devastating to my mental health and self-image.

Earlier this year I started getting a persistent pain in a tooth near the front which seemed to be a chain reaction setting off another tooth in the back. That one had a busted-off bit of filling, I noticed it months ago when it started hurting a bit one day and then it thankfully passed. I’m told I stress grind at night so that may have been how it happened.

Since Canada doesn’t cover dental care, I had to just ignore it because I’ve been having a difficult time financially. I started a fundraiser on Facebook & raised just enough to get it seen to. I was told it was infected and I needed a root canal as well as a root canal and crown for the back tooth. I got that taken care of (and ended up in the ER due to the worst pain I've ever been in my life) and then I was able to afford to have the back one extracted, there was not enough left to fix and keep it.

Today, after an appointment to check and see how the extraction site is doing...I was told I need a crown on the tooth that is beside it. The quote they gave me was $1,267.00 and I can't afford it. That's also just for the one tooth, they haven't even examined the left side which I know needs work too so as much as I didn't want to ask for more help, I've come to Gofundme because I don't want to be stuck waiting until I'm in a terrible amount of pain and or get another infection. I have fears of ending up like Andy Hallett, the actor from Angel =(

I'm asking for more than the current quote because there's more work to be done & I also hope of one day being able to get braces and have a smile I don't feel like I have to hide. All funds will be used for needed dental care.
