Ovarian Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
In 2021 I was diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer after experiencing cramps and fatigue while running. The cancer had metastasized to all of my reproductive organs, colon, under the surface of my liver, diaphragm, bladder, and small intestine.
After six rounds of chemotherapy and an extensive surgery, the cancer has recurred. I have been told that my cancer is unusual and aggressive, and it has not responded to common ovarian cancer medications on the market. I worked with an oncologist to identify targeted chemotherapy for my cancer using off-label, very expensive chemotherapy drugs. These drugs are not covered by my insurance.
The previous chemotherapy treatments have also left me with thyroid and adrenal disorders that make sleeping next to impossible. I am working with endocrinologists to dial in the correct thyroid dose to treat my insomnia, but again they are not covered by my insurance.
I’m asking for your help with these medical expenses and to help me battle this cancer.
For years I was a gymnast and accomplished runner. Now my legs are atrophied and I must walk slowly, I even trip occasionally. It’s hard to accept my new normal, but with your help I can persevere.
