A Trail Family's Devastation

The Young family have been part of the Oasis community for over 11 years.  Trevor, Shari and their children, Kaylin and Lucas, have had a devastating blow to their family this past week.  Their home sits on Hanna Dr with the back of their property adjoining a swampy area.  The spring water as well as lots of other ground water which has not been determined at this time, is eroding the soil behind and from underneath their home, causing foundation shifting and land movement. Trevor had many dump loads of rock delivered and moved by hand to the back of the house as this was the only access, to try and build some sort of retaining wall to help hold the house.  As of December 2015, there seems to be an excessive amount of ground water which has caused their home to be unstable.  They had an assessment carried out by two Geotechnical engineers as recommended by the Regional District and within 2 hours of them leaving the property they were given a recommended Emergency Evacuation order. 
Basically the centre of their house is sinking and not safe to live in anymore.  Unfortunately, their home insurance will not cover this huge loss. Right now they are trying to find somewhere to live and stilll paying for their sinking house.  
As neighbors we want to help as much as we can. The Young's need support and help, by this page we hope to relieve some of there stress and raise some money so they can support their family.  As soon as we can raise the funds the better. We want to get this beautiful family back on their feet again. The Oasis community and the Young family will be eternally greatfull for any help they get.  Thank you for your time.
