Help Faraj & Family Rebuild in Gaza Amid Cancer
Donation protected
To Our Dear Supporters,
Thanks to you, we have been able to provide a dignified life for my family over the past year and a half. My campaign operates in Canadian currency, and we have raised $70,000 CAD (equivalent to $48,000 USD)—every dollar of which has been used to support 50 displaced family members in Gaza by providing food, water, tents, transportation, medicine, baby formula, and diapers.
Without your support, we wouldn't have been able to endure this hardship. From the bottom of my heart, thank you—you are our only lifeline.
But our journey is not over yet, and we still need you.
The situation in Gaza is worsening, and my family's basic needs are still urgent. Your continued support is our only hope. Every dollar means food, shelter, and medicine for my family.
Please, continue to stand by me and my family. We need you now more than ever.

Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
My name is Faraj, and I have been battling cancer since 2013. I was 22 years old when I was diagnosed with leukemia—a moment that changed my life forever. I underwent endless chemotherapy sessions, each one harsher than the last, but my condition continued to worsen.

In 2016, my body began to fail me. I was hospitalized due to severe swelling in my right leg, and soon after, I lost my eyesight due to the harsh medications. The doctors told me that kidney dialysis was my only option. I felt like my body was breaking apart, piece by piece. But my father never gave up. He refused to believe that this could be my end.
After months of pain and suffering, I started to recover slowly. I clung to life despite everything. I traveled to receive treatment outside Palestine, and in 2017, I tried to restore my life—I got married and dreamed of a future full of love and family.

But life had other plans.
For several years, I struggled with infertility. Despite repeated attempts, I remained childless. No matter how much hope I had, I couldn’t have a child. Becoming a father was a dream that stayed with me every moment, so I remarried, holding on to the hope that Allah would bless me with a child. Finally, after eight years of waiting, my wife became pregnant. The joy was indescribable—finally, I would become a father!

Then came the war.
In an instant, everything was destroyed.
Our home, our memories—they turned to rubble. The war didn’t just take our home, it also took my father’s life. He was martyred while I was away receiving treatment in the West Bank. I wasn’t there to protect him. I wasn’t there to say goodbye.
While the rockets rained down on Gaza, my wife gave birth to our first child. I should have been there, holding him in my arms, whispering my first prayers into his ears. But I was far away, spending my days in pain and sorrow, mourning my father and missing my son.
I named him after my father—honoring the man who never lost hope in me.
Today, I continue to fight cancer. My family is still displaced, struggling to survive without shelter or safety. But I refuse to give up.
I have lived a decade of pain, loss, and exile, but I am still here, still standing—because I believe in a better future for my son.

But I can’t do this alone.
I am desperately in need of your support. Not for me, but for my son—for the future that war took from him before he even learned to walk.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help rebuild our lives. Every gesture of kindness is a lifeline—a chance to give my child a home, a safe place to grow, and a future away from suffering.
Please, be the hope we need.
From the depths of my heart, thank you for your time, your generosity, and your humanity.
