Breast Cancer2 & MRSA - Need Shot!
Donation protected
Hi there! My name is Roxie. I am from Oshkosh, WI where I live with my husband Ross and 5 year old son Rylan. In 2014 at the age of 35, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 2 from taking the Estrogen only birth control pill after the birth of my son. At this time we had just gotten married in February. A very small conservative wedding. A couple months later I wasn't feeling very well. Went to the Dr and she told me I was too young for a Mammo etc and refused to refer me. Just two short months later, I was back in her office with a lump that ended up being the size of a golf ball. After many, many surgeries and procedures including, labs, MRIs, Double Mastectomy (reconstruction after radiation) Radiation, Preventative Hysterectomy which devastated our family with no more children, X-rays, Neurologists, and various other specialists. They are trying to figure out my pain. We are assuming it is from Chemo and Radiation therapies. It has been a long road since 2013. Things are not better after treatments. In fact it sometimes gets worse and that is my case. Being so young I expected to bounce back quickly, not realizing the damage all of this would cause my body. I remember laying in bed after a Chemo treatment dreaming of all the things I would do when this pain was gone. Cancer gives you a completely different set of eyes that see the world and everything around it very differently now. The reason I set up this campaign was not only for help for me, but for my family and my life. My son suffers a lot from my issues and it breaks our hearts. Somehow my extremely low immune system ended up contracting MRSA. People are carriers without knowing it but low immune systems won't be able to fight it off. Come to find out they do not have a cure for it here and the antibiotics I was given, helped but did not take care of it completely. Due to my parents marriage, my uncle is a well known Doctor in Salamanca, Mexico. Their they offer this shot. When I read on it and discovered 100,000 people die each year from this, that scared me. They do not offer this shot in the US. This shot will take care of it for me. I'm hoping to raise money to help get me to Mexico. I don't want to burden my family anymore with more expenses when medical bills are already too much to deal with. I currently am not able to enter the work world with all my disabilities. I couldn't disappoint an employer and I need to be very cautious to not get sick. We just can't do it without help. I'm stubborn and this is very hard for me to, but I'm doing it for my 5 year old and my family. I choose life!Any donation made is going to be extremely emotional for our family. To find people with compassion and care is a hard thing. I am only trying to raise money to help with airfare to get me to Mexico, cost of the shot, expenses while I'm there and payments due to Drs if the US insurance doesn't cover it. Even a $1 donated is a $1 we don't have to make this work. Please know you have made a difference with any donation given. We appreciate each and every one of you from the bottoms of our hearts! The Poeschl Family, Oshkosh, WIPS. I would love to document with pictures the procedures etc done in Mexico. So updates will be provided along the way.
