Tragic loss of husband and father of three

My name is Kassandra. I'm asking for help for my family after the tragic and sudden loss of husband and father, Basil Ortega.

Basil was a father to three, a stepfather to three, a grandfather to three, and a husband of 16 years. He spent his younger years in Long Beach, his teen years in San Jose, and moved to Santa Cruz as an adult. There, he met his wife, Melissa Ortega, and together they relocated to Goodyear, AZ, where they raised their family.

Basil stayed active in his children's lives, volunteering for every coaching opportunity he could and always finding new interests to pursue with his family. He coached soccer, little league, flag football and hockey, where he had the chance to influence the lives of many children.

Despite a rich life, Basil struggled with depression and eventually succumbed to his illness. His loss is felt heavily within the community and especially in the family, where his income and health insurance were essential for maintaining the household.

My family and I ask for financial help during this challenging time to support the children and my mother with therapy, insurance, mortgage payments, debt, and funeral services. We know that times are difficult right now, and we appreciate anything you can give.
