Kathleen & Chad Hoey, residents of Lafayette, Indiana, have 2 daughters, Rebecca and Sarah, they have been very active in their community and also with their daughters’ activities. Kathleen is a lifelong resident of Lafayette, a nurse, formerly worked at Cargill and is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Chad is a Lieutenant on the Lafayette Fire Dept., a retired member of the Christiansburg, Ohio Fire Company and is active with the Tippecanoe County Fair. He is the son of Bob & Pam Hoey of Christiansburg, Ohio. On June 16th, Kathleen was taken to the hospital in Lafayette for an unknown illness. She was immediately transferred to a hospital in Indianapolis and diagnosed with Acute Pancreatitis. She has been in the ICU since June 17th and has been on a ventilator, dialysis, and life support for most of the time. She has had multiple scopes, procedures, and tests done also. Her progress has been slow, but she continues to heal. They all know this is a long and tedious journey to recovery. Chad has been commuting an hour each way every day to be with her to ensure she is getting the best care possible. Many people have asked how they can help. As the family faces an unknown hospital stay and an even more unknown recovery time, even families that have saved and planned for the future will find themselves under financial strain. We humbly ask on behalf of the family for any support you can give. Know that any amount given will be used for gas, food, medical bills, and any expenses related to Kathleen’s recovery. Please continue to pray for Kathleen and the Hoey family. We Thank You for your support.
