Wigs for kids with cancer

Tax deductible
COVID-19 has changed many things in our lives but it has not changed the fact that there are children battling cancer and losing their hair in the process. I do not have a personal experience to share however I often think and feel for those that do and the stories I hear. Perhaps even more so since I started a family a few years ago.

One thing that has changed this year is the projects we can do to give back and support others. I often take part in a few corporate volunteer projects each year to support various causes but COVID-19 has limited that. Since work from home began in March and since my hair was getting long to begin with I decided to let it grow wondering if I could get some of it to at least 8 inches. If I could then I would buzz it off and donate it to wigs4kids.org. Their website says they can make kids wigs with as little as 7 inches

I’m motivated to make this happen and some of my hair is getting close to the minimum length. I’m hoping to raise $800 for the cost of the “Adopt a kid and sponsor a wig for $800 .” If we reach this $800 goal then I will personally double it so we support the cost of two wigs along with my hair to make part of a wig. Please kindly consider supporting this cause. Thank you.
