The Rosario Family

As many of you know, Brooke Rosario is a single mother, with no extended family, to Jace Rosario on the Vernon Peewee Football Team.

Brooke has been struggling with ongoing health issues. She was diagnosed with Graves Disease (an autoimmune disease) with hyperthyroidism that frequently causes atrial fibrillation. She's been treated with medication but more recently has had several episodes resulting in trips to the hospital that proved her heart is being affected by her thyroid. Doctors recently discovered that she has Thyroid Cancer and will be treating her with radiation which will cause her to have to be away from her children for 7-10 days. These health issues have caused a significant reduction in household income as Brooke is currently not working and is the primary earner for the family. Unemployment is barely covering food and rent. Their current rental residence is up for sale and they are in the process of looking for a new home to rent in Vernon but have been unsuccessful thus far. If you know anyone that is renting a property that could accommodate a family of 3, please keep them in mind.

We are raising donations for the Rosario Family to help supplement a hotel stay for Brooke during her treatment, cover household and medical expenses, etc. Additionally, if anyone is willing to donate gift cards for local supermarkets or restaurants, I'm sure every little bit can help them during this difficult time. I'm hoping as a football family, we can be kind, supportive and help to ease some of the stress for the Rosario family. Please know that it is very difficult for Brooke to ask for help, but she is relenting to my offer to reach out for support.
